PRIDE Events for Saturday Called Off

PRIDE Events for Saturday Called Off

Pride events are cancelled.png

In light of today’s shooting in Christchurch, all Pride events for Saturday are cancelled. (Except the exhibition at 6pm which we think will go ahead – we have not been in contact with the organisers of the exhibition yet).

We invite you to come to The Gender Centre, 128 Abel Smith street Wellington, Saturday from 10am.

We will spend time together, share food by the fire, and possibly brainstorm and paint a huge banner to hang on the side of the building.

Please bring food to share if you want to, but no obligation. See you there.

We Stand Against Today’s Violence

We Stand Against Today’s Violence

We stand against violence directed at Muslim trans and rainbow people and their whānau and communities.

No tolerance for hate groups!

Sending love to Christchurch.

Show Your Support With Transgnder Flag Bunting

Show Your Support With Transgnder Flag Bunting

Show your support for trans and intersex people with our beautiful ”We Belong” transgender flag bunting!

Transgender flag buntin.png

The design includes the transgender flag colours, with yellow stars for intersex. The starts are in the pattern of the Southern Cross constellation, otherwise known as Te Pae Mahutonga. Te pae mahutonga is also a Kaupapa Maori public health framework, based on the constellation, which guides our organisation. You can read about it here. It also carries the transgender symbol, with the words ‘We Belong’.
