Thank You #MindysWalk!

Thank You #MindysWalk!

We would like to send a big thank you to Mindy, the 12 year old transgender girl who walked 48km from Carterton to Kaitoke on April 6th 2019 to raise funds for Gender Minorities Aotearoa and OuterSpaces, so we can support other young trans people.

Mindy and her supporters raised $1,416 for GMA, which is amazingly awesome. We have already been able to support several young people thanks to Mindy, and everyone who donated to us using #MindysWalk.

#MindysWalk

Mindy is 12 years old, and she is trans. She likes everything geeky and her favourite colour is orange. The day she legally changed her name was huge for her, and she hates the idea that other people who need a name change and support can’t afford it.

On April 14th, Mindy is going to walk 48 kilometers from Carterton to Kaitoke, to raise funds for Gender Minorities Aotearoa and OuterSpaces.

She came up with the idea for a fundraising walk because she loves long walks, and challenges, and really wanted to help the trans community.
