Aunty Dana’s Op Shop is our gorgeous second hand clothing store, located at 130 Riddiford street in Newtown, Wellington.

Why volunteer
Help us raise funds for carrying out transgender and intersex support across Aotearoa!
We also aim to provide training, work experience, and assistance to create or update your CV, as well as an employment reference for future jobs.
Volunteering at Aunty Dana’s is a great way to build workplace confidence and community networks, in a low stress and fun environment!
What volunteers do
We’re looking for volunteers to join our vibrant and dynamic team, to work a shift on the same day each week.
Duties include serving customers, sorting stock, light cleaning and other odd jobs. Shifts are 4 hours long, from 10am – 2pm, or 2pm – 6pm (on Sundays there is just one shift from 12noon – 4pm).
New volunteers work on weekdays with support, and experienced volunteers can move to weekend shifts if they want to.
