Seeking Mental Health Services Research Participants

Gender Minorities Aotearoa is working in partnership with Gloria Fraser, in developing and carrying out research into mental health support for sex and gender minorities and wider rainbow people in Aotearoa.

Do you identify as queer, takataapui, nonbinary, trans, LGBTQIA+, MVPFAFF, or questioning? Have you accessed or considered accessing any mental health support in Aotearoa (eg from counsellors, psychologists, psychiatrists, or therapists)? Are you aged between 16 and 30? And would you like to be interviewed as part of this research? Please get in touch! You can contact us on genderminorities@gmail.com or contact Gloria directly on gloria.fraser@vuw.ac.nz

Interviews will be conducted throughout New Zealand and will take around an hour. We are offering a koha of $30 in petrol, supermarket, or cinema vouchers.

The data collected will be used in creating resources for mental health professionals, so they can better understand the needs of patients like us, and we can have better access to more supportive mental health services.
